Candidate Number 8, Nicole Schmitz of Cebu won the Best in national Costume Award. She is indeed wearing a beautiful and very unique Filipino cultured dress. Embroidery is very native and just jive to her inviting beauty. Watch Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Primer and National Costumer Winner. By the way here is the comment about each candidate during the primer. Here are my comments on their interview skills according to the primer:
Gallman – fluent in English, she knew what she was saying, very “malaman” in her thoughts
De Castro – boring, no personality
Marable – fluent in English, spoke from the heart
Hidalgo – communication skills was not bad but needs fluency because I heard a Gatbonton accent
Aguilar – another accent was visible
Ariosa – well educated as it was obvious but needed fluency, slightly boring
Ejercitado – I can also hear a Gatbonton accent but fluent in English
Schmitz – fluent in English, bubbly, has personality, the best interview
Lastimosa – Something was lacking. Maybe she was slightly unattached. I need more from her.
Orbina – needed sophistication and class when speaking, SOOOOOO emotional (you can make a MMK episode entitled “slippers”)
Peter – Unattached to the viewers, fluent in English
Desalla – very inspiring (never knew she was that fat)
Dimaranan – I saw a chubbier version of Vanessa Minillo, also fluent in English.
Howell – surprisingly fluent in English, needed to speak from her heart more
Moll – her nose was really distracting; she had a Filipino accent in English language
Alcantara – emotional, there’s a Filipino accent too just like Moll
Buenviaje – her lips/mouth was very distracting; if she’s styled well, I can see a Henson deadringer.
Tugonon – well prepared (her video was like a Miss Universe web interview); Miriam Quiambao deadringer when properly styled, you can feel the hunger from her.
Jesalva – VERY emotional (another MMK entry), needed fluency in English. It was very obvious especially when she said the word, “pageant” few times.
Tadique – Very Charice, okay-ish communication skills
Munoz – also inspiring, can be a MU material if properly styled and fixed
Cruz – another emotional interview, Licaros deadringer
Baroa – (MMK entry again) never knew she was cancer survivor, fluent in English, very attached
Baliquig – become one of my sentimental favorite (MMK entry “tissue”), very inspiring
Zanardi – her mouth was distracting, something is lacking, her accent was also very Ruias
Delos Reyes – surprisingly fluent in English, another MU material in terms of web interview
Soller – outgoing, congenial, bubbly
Arcenas – fluent in English, very unattached (sorry Pao!)
Forbes – emotional, she kinda reminded me of DJ Chacha.
Gonzales – needed aggressiveness, slightly boring, reminded me of Lovi Poe
Overall, all the girls can make a good fight but some are just standouts for me. Schmitz, Delos Reyes, Dimaranan, and Tugonon are my standouts. Underdogs are Lastimosa, Baliquig and Soller.
